METTA: As the Heart Breaks Open
We are living in a state of collective grief and fear. The practice of metta, loving awareness, is a wise response to these difficult states which can cloud the mind's natural sensitivity. Through the practice of metta, one begins a journey to the heart where happiness and sorrow live in harmony with one another.
Likened to a soft rain, metta fosters an inner environment of kindness, tranquility, balance and equanimity. The cultivation of metta strengthens our ability to remain present and responsive to life's ever-changing circumstances.
This at-home retreat offers an opportunity to merge the experience of formal retreat practice with everyday living.
